I.   POLICY STATEMENT.

In accordance with California law and 日本无码鈥檚 commitment to providing a safe and healthful environment, the College strictly regulates smoking and vaping on its campus.

II.  APPLICABILITY.

This policy applies to all College employees, students, and visitors.

III.  DEFINITIONS.

Smoking 鈥 means the smoking or vaping of any substance, including cigarettes, cigars, cigarillos, water pipes (e.g. 鈥渂ongs鈥 or 鈥渉ookah鈥), e-cigarettes and other electronic nicotine/THC delivery systems, as well as other vapor emitting devices, with or without nicotine/THC content, that mimic the use of tobacco products.

IV.  POLICY.

Smoking is prohibited inside all College facilities (including residence halls and parking structures), and within 30 feet of any College building. The rights of non-smokers supersede the rights of smokers.

Residents with balcony rooms may NOT smoke on balconies even with the room door closed. Additionally, residents are not allowed to use water pipes or a hookah to smoke or vape any substance. Residents should contact a REHS staff member if they are concerned about violations of this policy in their living environment.

To protect community members and the campus against risk of fire, smoking products (such as cigarette butts) must be fully extinguished before being discarded, and may only be discarded in trash receptacles. It is a violation of this policy to discard a smoking product anywhere other than in a trash can or other designated receptacle.
